Requesting a Mentorship

If you’re a new dungeon master that would like to have 1-on-1 training with an experienced DM, you can request a mentorship via the #request-a-mentor channel. Please share information about yourself, your experience level, and what you’re hoping to learn. The mentorship team will then reach out about scheduling a 1-on-1 training session, joining a voice chat, or simply chatting via direct message to answer your questions.

Becoming a Mentor

If you’re an experienced dungeon master who would like to teach new DMs in our community, you can sign-up to become a mentor.

Criteria:

• You are at least 18 years old
• You are experienced with 5th edition
• You are newbie friendly, patient, and enjoy teaching others
• You will not abuse your enhanced server permissions

You will be asked the following questions:

• What is your history/experience with 5th edition?
• What is your history/experience with teaching others?
• Why do you want to mentor new DMs in our community?

If you’re selected, what happens next?

• You will be given the “Mentor” role in Discord
• You’ll have access to the #request-a-mentor and #organizers channel
