Yedri is an earth genasi druid who is non-binary, stands a bit over 6'5" tall, and has dark brown/gray skin with speckles of green, and a rough stone-like texture. Their eyes are black with no discernible pupil or iris, and their long black hair falls just past the shoulders. Yedri keeps 1/3 of it shaved. While their appearance is very close to human, aside from their stone-like appearance, they do have pointed elven ears.

They are currently part of the king's elite operatives. Yedri contributed to hunting down and capturing Morgan Bran before being jailed in the village of Embrent.

Current Status: Jailed in the village of Embrent.

Backstory

Yedri was born to wood elf parents living in Wealdath in the Forest of Tethir. Their strange appearance marked them as an outsider from the beginning. Genasi are uncommon, and especially those that -- like Yedri -- appear to be more animated stone than human. While Yedri's father loved them, Yedri's mother left the family and indeed the whole society after Yedri's birth, believing that Yedri's strange appearance was a sign from the gods -- an ill omen. While it is known that genasi result from the union of djinn and humanoid races, no record of such a union is part of Yedri's family lore. Yedri was ostracized by the wood elf society, except for their father who kept them safe and cared for them in their small but warm home.

As do many in these situations, Yedri found peace and a sense of belonging in the woods. True to their heritage, Yedri was adept with the ways of the forests and the trees, they felt their closest sense of companionship with the animals. Yedri always felt drawn to caves and caverns and would explore any crack or crevasse they came across. It was in this way that Yedri discovered their innate magical essence. They were exploring deep in a cave one day, not far from home, when the cave began to collapse. Yedri heard the boulder falling from the top of the cave before they saw it, and shouted as they closed their eyes, bracing for the impact. But the impact never came, and when Yedri opened their eyes, the boulder was suspended mid-air.

It was not long after that Yedri made the choice to leave home. They knew they needed to find their calling and grow their gift, but more they hoped to finally find somewhere that felt like home.
